A national research conference recommends developing legislation to regulate biotechnology to protect biodiversity

Participants in the activities of the First International Conference on Biotechnology and Biodiversity from Natural Resources, which was held at the National Research Center, recommended the necessity of developing legislation governing the use of biotechnology so that it does not negatively affect biodiversity or local communities.

He pointed out Participants – during the closing session of the conference on Monday – stressed the importance of enhancing research and development in the field of biotechnology by supporting research and research projects that aim to develop new technologies to improve pharmaceutical production without harming the environment.

 

They called for strengthening cooperation between research, academic and industrial institutions in order to find innovative biological solutions, such as applying patents approved from inside and outside Egypt that use artificial intelligence in the field of therapeutic nutrition, as presented at the conference.

 

They stressed the importance of managing the use of natural biological resources by developing the use of biological resources in a sustainable and effective manner, and the use of agricultural waste in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing due to the laboratory-proven benefit.

 

He demanded The participants directed studies to consolidate the use of natural products and herbs in dentistry and benefit from them being safer, more environmentally friendly, and less expensive, and to conduct clinical trials in cooperation with Egyptian universities to complete what has been reached in the laboratory in various fields of medicine and the field of oral and dental diseases.

They stressed the importance of harnessing the power of biotechnology to make the most of the benefits of natural products and herbs, and to transform the results reached through research into pharmaceutical preparations and include them in the Egyptian pharmaceutical market.

 

Participants stressed that these recommendations constitute a comprehensive framework for guiding biotechnology applications towards achieving sustainable development and protecting biodiversity on a global level.

 

< p>The conference was held under the patronage of Dr. Fajr Abdel-Gawad, Acting President of the Center for Research, and Dr. Imad Hassan, Deputy Director of the Pharmaceutical and Pharmaceutical Industries Research Institute, and headed by Dr. Faten Abdel Hadi and Dr. Kamel Shaker, Vice President of the Conference.

 

A group of experts and researchers from Egyptian centers, research institutes and universities participated in its activities, along with a group of specialists from Japan, Malaysia and Italy in the field of innovation and development of natural resources.
