The second day of the Focus Theater Festival in its second session at Damanhour University, which was held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Elhamy Tarabis – President of Damanhour University, witnessed a large attendance of university students and their parents to watch the festival activities.

The activities of the second day of the festival began with the theatrical performance “The Clock,” by students of the College of Veterinary Medicine, written by Ahmed Deif, directed by student Youssef Walid.
The show aims to send a message to young people that they can return and reach the right path as long as there is still time, even if it is a little.

In the presence of Professor Dr. Doha Beltagy – Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs, and a group of distinguished faculty members, assistant staff, administrators, students and their parents, and under the supervision of Professor Abdul Aziz Abu Rakba – Head of the Student Care Department at the College, and Professor Nisreen Helmy – Social Worker and Activities Supervisor at the College. The students of the College of Science presented the theatrical performance “A Trial in Someone’s Mind”, written by Muhammad Yassin, and directed by the student Ibrahim Shweil. The events of the text revolve around a conflict taking place. In the Mind of Someone, profound questions about human nature and identity, highlights the influence of the past on the present and reinforces the idea of ​​human psychological complexity.

The festival’s jury praises the students’ talents and appreciates the university’s interest in theatrical activity

For their part, the members of the jury and the audience praised the students’ performance in acting, music, decoration and directing, appreciating the keenness of Damanhour University, headed by Professor Dr. Elhamy Tarabis, to implement the recommendations of the first session of the festival, which was reflected positively on the students’ performance.

It is worth noting that Damanhour University pays great attention to student activities in general and theatrical activity in particular due to its great role in discovering young talents, embracing them and supporting their abilities, and is keen to present purposeful and distinguished theatrical performances that contribute to elevating students’ ideas and tastes so that they become more capable of contributing strongly to enlightenment.

Tomorrow, the third day of the festival is expected to witness the presentation of the theatrical performances Batoul, Majnoon Al-Bala, The Maze, and Hide and Seek.
