Within the framework of ongoing efforts to enhance democratic participation and develop electoral awareness among citizens, and the importance of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the National Elections Authority to activate voter awareness and education programs, Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education, signed a cooperation protocol with Counselor Hazem Badawi, Vice President of the Court of Cassation. And the Chairman of the National Elections Authority, with the aim of enhancing the culture of participation in elections and referendums among students, teachers, and parents.
During the protocol signing activities, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif thanked the National Elections Authority for its cooperation through this initiative in the field of national action. The Minister continued that work will be done to motivate and encourage teachers to make students exercise their political rights, such as participating in elections, Which enhances understanding and appreciation of their rights, and raises awareness and educates students of all ages about their political rights by studying the possibility of including direct topics on political rights in the school curricula in a manner appropriate to the students’ ages, and linking discussions to important local issues.
