A cooperation protocol between “Homat Al-Watan” and “Our Hands Together” to provide free prosthetic limbs
Within the framework of enhancing community cooperation and achieving sustainable development, the Social Solidarity Secretariat of the Homat al-Watan Party signed a cooperation protocol with the “Our Hands Together for Rehabilitation” Foundation. With the aim of providing a number of free prosthetic limbs to citizens who suffer from injuries or medical conditions that require the installation of prosthetic limbs, to improve the efficiency of their functional performance and enable them to live independently and provide psychological support services to the beneficiaries.
The protocol was signed at the headquarters of the Hama Party. Al-Watan by Representative Major General A.H. Ahmed Al-Awadi, First Vice President of the Protectors of the Homeland Party, Chairman of the Defense and National Security Committee in the House of Representatives, on behalf of the party, while he signed on behalf of the “Our Hands Together for Rehabilitation” Foundation. During the signing ceremony, MP Major General Ahmed Al-Awadhi confirmed that this cooperation comes within the framework of the party’s keenness to support all initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of life of citizens, pointing to the importance of providing artificial limbs. As an empowering tool for people who need it to regain their ability to live their daily lives normally. Al-Awadhi added that the protocol will contribute to providing these limbs free of charge to those who need them, especially in areas that witness a significant need for them.
Al-Awadhi pointed out that the protocol includes sending medical convoys to cities, governorates, and remote areas to examine cases that need installation. Prosthetic limbs, taking the necessary measurements to manufacture the limbs, then returning to install them, while providing them with psychological support, ensuring coverage of the largest number of beneficiaries in the areas most in need.
He stressed "Al-Awadi" The party places as its top priority supporting initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of life of citizens, noting that providing prosthetic limbs is an enabling step for people with disabilities to restore their normal lives, pointing out that this cooperation comes within the framework of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning” Launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, it aims to provide practical solutions to the challenges facing the most needy groups, including supporting people of determination to achieve equal opportunities and enhance their integration into society.
For her part, Dr. Maha Al-Ansari, Secretary of the Solidarity Secretariat, indicated The social worker of the Homat al-Watan Party pointed out that the party seeks, through this cooperation, to provide actual support to people with disabilities in Egypt, pointing out that this protocol will allow them to obtain the prosthetic limbs they need, free of charge, which It contributes to improving their quality of life and enabling them to integrate into society more effectively, stressing the importance of cooperation with the “Edina Together” Foundation. To reach the largest number of beneficiaries throughout the republic.
Al-Ansari confirmed This cooperation comes within the efforts of the party and civil society to support and empower individuals with disabilities and achieve the principle of social equality by providing practical solutions to the challenges these people face.
