In this regard, tourism expert Mohamed Othman confirmed to Al-Youm Al-Sabea that workers in the tourism sector prepared with all seriousness for this winter tourist season, and traveled all over the world to promote Egypt, Luxor, Aswan, and the warmth of winter inside them with all force during the past months, as the results have been outstanding so far. With the current revival of the Luxor temples and Karnak temples in downtown Luxor, there is a state of distinctive tourist demand from groups coming from around the world to enjoy civilization. The head of the Cultural Tourism Marketing Committee adds that the city of Luxor is considered the first destination for cultural tourism in Egypt and the main tourist attraction, as it is witnessing a significant increase in hotel occupancy rates during the current winter season. Reports at the beginning of the winter season indicate that occupancy rates in floating and fixed hotels exceed 85%, driven by the influx of tourists from European nationalities such as Germans, French, and Spanish, in addition to a significant increase in the numbers of tourists from Southeast Asian countries, explaining that the great success achieved by cultural tourism in Luxor is the result of concerted efforts over the past period, and Luxor still needs a series of new tourist patterns to entertain foreigners.
