Dr. Jacqueline Azer, Governor of Beheira, confirmed the intensification of efforts to confront the effects of weather fluctuations and expected rainfall coinciding with the winter season.
Noting that the governorate is working according to a robust proactive plan, which ensures the rapid deployment of equipment and field teams in the affected locations in coordination with local units, water, sanitation, electricity and civil protection companies to quickly remove water accumulations, ensuring regular traffic movement and protecting vital installations.
Dr. Jacqueline Azar also indicated that the command and control center at the governorate’s general office is working around the clock, with the activation of sub-operations rooms in all centers and cities to ensure real-time follow-up and immediate intervention, while intensifying the field presence of executive leadership to directly support the affected sites.
The Governor of Al-Buhaira stressed the importance of reviewing the readiness of sewage and agricultural drainage stations to face the increasing amounts of rain, while carrying out periodic maintenance work on equipment and suction devices, and preparing additional emergency teams for rapid intervention when needed.
Dr. Jacqueline Azar, Governor of Beheira, also directed all heads of centers and cities within whose jurisdiction there are waterways, ferries, ferries, and Nile boats, to review all licenses and adhere to the prescribed tonnage, while suspending violating ones, as well as stopping their work in the event of heavy rain and strong winds.
The Governor of Al-Buhaira appealed to citizens to be careful while driving, especially in areas where water pools occur, and to stay away from light poles and exposed electrical wires, while reporting any emergency through the designated communication channels to ensure that the specialized teams intervene quickly.
Emphasizing that the governorate will spare no effort in providing all the necessary capabilities and support to field teams to overcome any obstacles and ensure the safety of citizens, while continuing to communicate with the Meteorological Authority to continuously monitor weather conditions and implement all proactive and emergency measures to confront the effects of unstable weather, ensuring the provision of a safe environment and continuous services.
