340 million pounds for paving and developing roads in Qalyubia…a plan with the most important and priority streets

Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Qalyubia, held a coordination meeting to follow up and advance the works to implement the paving plan project in Qalyubia Governorate, after assigning it to the Arab Contractors Company, one of the largest contracting companies in Egypt and the Middle East, through a limited tender that was announced, in which 3 bids were submitted, and it was awarded to the Contractors Company. Arabs as the lowest price among advanced companies.

This came in the presence of Engineer Heba Abu Al-Ela, member of the Arab Contractors Council, Engineer Yasser Abdel-Al, Head of the Roads Sector, Major General Ihab Hassan Serag El-Din, General Secretary, Major General Abdullah Ashour, Assistant Secretary-General, Khaled Al-Arfi, Head of the West Shubra Al-Kheima District, and Engineer Ali Odeh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing. And Dr. Mohamed Fawzi, Assistant Governor for Investment and Projects.

Qalyubia Governorate explained, in a statement, that the project aims to raise the efficiency of the governorate’s infrastructure and improve the quality of life for citizens, as it will include paving and developing many main and secondary streets and roads in all Qalyubia cities. The plan’s priorities were discussed and coordination was made with city leaders to choose plots of land to start… Preparing installations and establishing administrative offices for project engineers.

The Governor stressed that the selection of the Arab Contractors Company to implement this project came in recognition of its extensive experience and high efficiency in the field of contracting, and in order to ensure speedy implementation, high quality of work, and adherence to the project’s specified timetable.

The governor added that this project comes within the framework of the governorate’s keenness to provide a civilized environment for citizens, improve traffic, and reduce congestion, which contributes to stimulating economic and commercial activity in the governorate.

The total cost of the paving plan project is about 340 million pounds, which is a major investment that reflects the state’s interest in developing infrastructure in the governorates, as paving will be done in the cities and neighborhoods of the governorate under the supervision of professors from the Faculties of Engineering at Benha University.

It is expected that this project will contribute to achieving many positive returns for citizens, including improving the level of services provided to citizens, providing a safer and smoother environment for traffic movement, reducing transportation and maintenance costs, increasing the value of real estate and land, and improving the cultural appearance of the governorate.

In a practical step to implement this project, the governor, accompanied by a group of Arab Contractors Company engineers, inspected the work site on Bahtim Isko Street, one of the most important and vital traffic axes in the governorate. During the visit, the governor stressed the importance of this street in connecting many vital areas, and the governorate’s keenness to develop it. To meet the needs of citizens and facilitate traffic.”
