The Damietta Health Directorate announced the implementation of a group of various educational seminars, as part of the activities of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning to Build a New Man.”
For her part, Dr. Yemeni Al-Gharbawi, Supervisor of Media and Population Health at the Health Directorate in Damietta, confirmed that these seminars varied to cover a wide range of vital issues, the most prominent of which were early detection of tumors and how to examine the breast, with the aim of spreading the culture of early detection and supporting women’s health, pointing out that it was presented Seminars on proper nutrition, in addition to focusing on women’s health during pregnancy and child care.
She pointed out that some of the awareness seminars of the “New Beginning” initiative that Damietta witnessed included positive education and the harms of early marriage, in addition to explaining the harms of addiction and the importance of dealing with the challenges of the critical stage.
She added that a number of seminars have been held since the beginning of the initiative and to date, 218 “internal and external” seminars, explaining that these seminars targeted 19,275 beneficiaries in cooperation with many participating parties, including the Directorate of Education, local councils, social solidarity, youth and sports centers, public libraries, and endowments.
She also explained that the “New Beginning” initiative represents one of the pioneering steps that reflects the Department of Information and Population Education’s commitment to its actual role in enhancing population awareness and building an enlightened society. It also contributes to spreading the culture of positive change and human development.
