Hundreds in Dakahlia mourn the body of the 14th victim on Port Said Matareya Road

Hundreds of residents of Matareya, north of Dakahlia Governorate, mourned the body of the 14th victim of the Port Said Road accident in Matareya, after she died today.

Hundreds of residents of the city of Matariya left the Al-Fath Mosque in the city of Matariya, after they performed the funeral prayer for the deceased. A state of sadness prevailed within the city after the news of Samar Saleh’s death spread, and the people gathered in front of the mosque, until the body arrived after the completion of the permits for handing over the body.

It is noteworthy that the Matareya-Port Said Road witnessed a tragic accident in which 13 workers in the investment zone in Port Said were killed and 27 injured, while they were returning from work to the city of Matareya, as a result of a transport vehicle colliding with a bus on the road.

Following that accident, Major General Tariq Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, decided to place concrete blocks on the road to prevent the passage of transport vehicles, place artificial bumps, and close illegal openings on the road to prevent the infiltration of transport vehicles.

The city of Matareya witnessed a majestic funeral scene after 11 coffins left four mosques in the city, and two funerals took place, the first in the city of Manzala and the village of Al-Asafra.
