Teenage boy left fighting for life after falling six metres from a rock wall near the University of Queensland

A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital after falling six metres from a rock wall. 

Emergency services were called to Sir Fred Schonell Drive near the University of Queensland campus, in Brisbane, at 1.06am on Saturday.

The man, understood to be in his late teens, was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with life-threatening head injuries. 

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia the boy suffered severe injures. 

It is understood the incident was an accident and no one else was injured.  

A Queensland Police spokeswoman told Daily Mail the incident is not being treated as suspicious. 

No further investigations are being conducted at this time. 

The University of Queensland has been contacted for further comment.
