The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities issued a statement announcing the control of a limited fire that had broken out in the area of ​​plants and grass adjacent to the Temple of Mut, south of the Karnak Temples in Luxor, without causing any human or material losses.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities confirmed in its statement that the fire did not affect any of the archaeological elements in the area and that they are all in a good state of preservation.

 

As the Ministry stated in its statement Immediately upon learning of the fire, a team of archaeologists and restorers in the Luxor Antiquities Area went to the site of the fire and took all necessary protective measures. Immediately after the fire was extinguished, they carried out an archaeological and artistic inspection, and it was confirmed that all archaeological elements were safe, that they were not affected by the fire, and that they were in a good state of preservation.
