Brits in hysterics as Americans discover ‘London-themed’ M&S Christmas food in Target – including Scottish shortbread
Brits have been left in stitches after watching Americans discover products from the Marks & Spencer Christmas range in their own supermarkets.
Taking to social media, one US shopper revealed that the UK supermarket’s festive products have made their way across the pond to Target, thanks to Yanks being ‘obsessed with English Christmas’.
TikToker @moeblackx showed viewers the small aisle of M&S goodies appropriately shelved under a banner titled ‘London Christmas’.
‘You guys, American capitalism is so funny because what do you mean Americans are so obsessed with English Christmas, we now have a Marks and Spencer’s section in Target,’ she said. ‘What! This is so funny.’
The influencer panned over the selection, which contained chocolates, cookies and other Yuletide treats from the quintessentially British shop.

The ‘English’ themed Christmas stall left Brits in hysterics after discovering the small pocket of London-inspired M&S food.
Revealing what was on offer, Moe showed a Snowy Christmas Cookie Tin filled with shortbreads, a handful of English themed plush decorations and a tin of gingerbread in a container shaped like a postbox.
Elsewhere, mugs evoking images of the capital were available. One intricately painted cup featured paintings of St. Paul’s Cathedral, a black cab, Victoria sponge cake and Big Ben.
The aisle also featured several varieties of tinned shortbread, each stored in London themed containers.
‘I mean this stuff is really cute but it’s mostly just shortbread. But this is so funny,’ she said during the clip.
Keeping to the British theme, the small shelf had a banner at the top reading: ‘Gifts from London’ and two cardboard cutouts of some teddy bear beefeaters.
But British shoppers weren’t impressed with the American selection on offer.
‘While the London themed shelf was well stocked with Scottish shortbread, they missed out on the supermarket favourite Percy Pigs.
Taking to social media, one American shopper revealed that the M&S Christmas range has just landed in the US chain superstore Target – though Brits noted that the range has missing a number of home favourites

‘Yet not Percy Pigs,’ one confused commenter said.
Others pointed out the lack of Colin the caterpillar cake – a famed British birthday tradition.
‘As a Brit in America I was buzzing but none of it is the good M&S stuff!’ a second said.
‘A London English Christmas and they only have shortbread which is Scottish,’ another pointed out with several laughing emojis.
‘M&S Christmas food is so so good – seems like target missed a trick by not including the rich Belgian chocolate biscuit selection,’ a third penned.
‘That’s last year’s stuff too,’ another pointed out.

It comes after British customers were recently treated to the annual M&S Christmas advert – featuring Britain’s Go Talent star, Skylar Blu.
The supermarket has already released an advert for food featuring the return of Dawn French’s fairy from last year – and has now showcased offerings for clothing and home.
The 90-second advert, which features Skylar Blu from season 15 of Britain’s Got Talent, aims to tell the story of Christmas ‘through a child’s eyes’.
It shows Skylar bringing her family together in unexpected ways, and bringing the festive spirit into their home – all to the catchy backing track of ‘I Believe In Miracles’ by the Jackson Sisters.
After spotting a snow globe across the room and picking it up, something magical starts to happen as hundreds of baubles come cascading down the stairs.
The magic continues as she continues to turn it – and her entire home seems to become the snow globe, moving upside down.
Her family manage to defy gravity while performing a sensational dance number in the moving house, with snow whirling around the room after all.
By the end, everyone embodies the same infectious energy as the young girl, and, with her family they are having the time of their lives. The story ends with the title: ‘Christmas Starts Here’.
At the start of the video, 10-year-old Skylar looks subdued as she sits among her family, with no prospect of snow.
Festive season is officially upon us – as the battle of the Christmas adverts is well underway with supermarkets across the nation releasing their festive campaigns.
