Tomorrow.. The Jurisprudence Forum at Al-Azhar Mosque highlights the dangers of forbidden relationships
In accordance with the directives of His Eminence the Grand Imam Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, in a new step aimed at strengthening the dialogue between jurisprudence, Sharia, and modern medicine, Al-Azhar Mosque is holding the second meeting of the first jurisprudential forum “A Contemporary Vision” Tomorrow, which comes under the title “Forbidden Relationships and their Danger to the Individual and Society… An Islamic Medical Vision,” and carries within it a comprehensive vision that addresses contemporary issues and presents integrated visions that combine Islamic law and modern medicine, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Saghir, Al-Amin. Assistant General of the Islamic Research Academy, and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Siddiq, Vice President of Al-Azhar University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Hani Odeh Awad, Director General of Al-Azhar Mosque, moderated the dialogue and asked questions, providing the opportunity for attendees to interact and share their opinions. The forum reviews jurisprudential opinions related to forbidden relationships and their impact on members of society.
Dr. mentioned. Abdel Moneim Fouad, General Supervisor of the Al-Azhar Corridors, said that this forum is considered an important platform for exchanging ideas and enhancing cooperation between jurists and doctors, as it highlights the importance of preserving offspring in light of Sharia teachings and advanced medical knowledge, pointing out that this symposium comes within the framework of the endeavors of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. To provide contemporary visions in line with society’s needs and challenges, which contributes to enhancing public awareness about issues related to contemporary topics, calling on everyone to attend and participate in this distinguished event, which reflects the role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in addressing contemporary issues and providing solutions in line with the principles of the Islamic religion.
For his part, Dr. explained. Hani Odeh, Director General of Al-Azhar Mosque, said that the forum seeks to highlight the Islamic vision related to birth control from two main perspectives: the first, the legal perspective that defines Islamic values and principles related to birth, and the second, the medical perspective that addresses the health and scientific aspects related to this issue, noting that The Jurisprudence Forum is an important step towards building a society that is aware of the importance of jurisprudential and medical issues, and knows with certainty that committing forbidden things leads to the destruction of societies. This forum is the beginning of a series of activities that enhance constructive and fruitful dialogue in our societies, and it is scheduled to be held on Monday of every week after Maghrib prayer under the Ottoman canopy at Al-Azhar Mosque.
The forum is scheduled to focus on discussing the medical harms resulting from illegal relations, in addition to the health effects associated with masturbation. The forum will also address Questions about whether genetic fingerprinting is sufficient to deny paternity, and the extent to which it is considered an argument in proving paternity.
