Dr. Magda El Shazly, rapporteur of the National Council for Women in Alexandria, received a delegation from the Free Egyptians Party headed by Mona Kyrollos, Secretary of Organization and member of the party’s supreme body, in a fruitful meeting aimed at enhancing joint cooperation and exchanging experiences to support the role of Egyptian women in society.
The meeting witnessed extensive discussions on ways to empower women in various fields, where the initiatives and services provided by the National Council for Women were highlighted, such as obtaining national ID cards for women for free, and its continued support for women entrepreneurs. The role of the Women’s Complaints Office in providing legal and psychological support to women exposed to violence was also reviewed. Mona Kyrollos affirmed the Free Egyptians Party’s commitment to the directives of MP Dr. Essam Khalil and in coordination with Dr. Heba Wasel. The Secretary of the Republic supports women’s issues and enhances their political and social participation, noting the importance of empowering women politically to enable them to effectively contribute to decision-making and achieve sustainable development.
It was also agreed to implement a series of awareness-raising activities and teach women some home industries, Such as manufacturing cheese and meat products, and teaching them from trainers in cooperation between the Council and the Party on how to create small projects. In addition to organizing a nearby symposium on “electronic blackmail” To educate women about the dangers of this phenomenon and how to prevent it.
