Cairo: Hani Kamal El-Din
While supporters of Donald Trump are celebrating their candidate’s victory in most U.S. states, and Kamala Harris’s team tries to come to terms with the bitter defeat, a wave of online creativity has emerged.
Memes and funny videos are quickly spreading across social media platform X, featuring Trump performing his traditional victory dance. Along with this, a generated video has gained popularity in which the businessman-turned-president dances alongside another entrepreneur, Elon Musk.
Musk, who has supported Trump from the beginning and claimed that he was destined to play a key role in the U.S. administration, has also become the subject of memes. One such meme features the founder of SpaceX carrying a sink into the Oval Office, referencing Musk’s famous phrase “let that sink in.”
Additionally, many users on social media platform X have been mocking Kamala Harris’s defeat by posting memes of her holding a wine glass. Opponents of the candidate suggested this depicted her “falling asleep, unwilling to face her supporters.”
Moreover, a fabricated decree allegedly from Russian President Vladimir Putin has circulated online, claiming that Trump had been appointed the 47th leader of the United States.
Meanwhile, at Trump’s victory celebration, the song “Y.M.C.A” by the Village People played, under which the newly elected president performed his trademark victory dance.
Earlier reports indicated Trump’s preliminary victory in the U.S. presidential election, with him securing 277 electoral votes, thus surpassing Harris.
