World Urban Forum: The Minister of Housing presents to his counterpart from South Africa the Egyptian urban experience
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, met with Mamloko Kupay, Minister of Human Settlements of the Republic of South Africa, the South African Ambassador to Cairo, and their accompanying delegation, to present the Egyptian urban experience and discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries, on the sidelines of the third day’s activities. For the World Urban Forum in its twelfth edition.
The Minister of Housing welcomed his counterpart from the Republic of South Africa, the South African Ambassador to Cairo, and their accompanying delegation, to their second country, Egypt, and their participation in the activities of the twelfth edition of the World Urban Forum, which returns For Africa after more than 20 years… stressing that the Egyptian state, represented by the Ministry of Housing, is ready to share its expertise and transfer its experience to the brothers in the state of South Africa, and all African countries.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny confirmed that the Egyptian contracting companies and consulting offices, Real estate developers have extensive experience in implementing various urban development projects, and Egyptian contracting companies have a strong presence in the African and Middle Eastern arena, and are ready to implement various projects anywhere in the world, proposing to organize joint workshops between the two sides to establish frameworks for joint cooperation.
For her part, Mrs. Mamloko Kupay, Minister of Human Settlements in South Africa, praised the great progress achieved by the Egyptian state in the field of urban development… expressing her country’s aspiration to strengthen and deepen cooperation with the Egyptian state in the various fields of urban development.
