The Minister of Higher Education receives the Ambassador of Morocco to discuss strengthening academic and research relations between the two sides
Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received Mr. Mohamed Ait and Ali, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Cairo, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
At the beginning of the meeting, he noted The Minister pointed out the historical and cultural ties that bring Egypt and Morocco together as two sister countries, stressing Egypt’s constant interest in advancing and consolidating these relations through progress in joint cooperation agreements in all fields, especially the fields of higher education and scientific research, stressing the Ministry’s keenness to provide support to Moroccan students to study in Egypt. Within the “Study in Egypt” system, and improving the services it provides to support international students, especially our Arab brothers. The Minister discussed with the Moroccan ambassador ways to enhance cooperation between Egyptian universities and their Moroccan counterparts, pointing to the extent of the expansion that has been achieved in the Egyptian higher education system, which allows opening diverse horizons for new forms of cooperation with various tributaries of Egyptian governmental, private, private and technological universities, as well as various scientific specializations. He stressed the focus of attention on modern specializations that keep pace with developments taking place in the world in the field of science, technology and others.
The two sides also discussed ways to expand research projects in scientific topics of common interest that serve sustainable development in the two countries and contribute to advancing the economy. And benefit from the exchange of technical expertise between the two sides.
Maximizing cooperation relations between Egyptian and Moroccan universities
For his part, the Moroccan ambassador expressed his country’s appreciation and pride in the relations of friendship and brotherhood that unites it with Egypt, stressing the keenness to maximize relations Cooperation between Egyptian and Moroccan universities, and concluding new partnerships between Egyptian and Moroccan university institutions.
After the meeting, the Moroccan ambassador met with a number of presidents of private universities on the sidelines of the Ministry’s Private Universities Council, He reviewed with them the Moroccan higher education system to discuss ways of joint academic and research cooperation with Egyptian universities.
