The Ministry of Health signs cooperation protocols with 14 Egyptian universities to train the"Pharm D"

The Ministry of Health and Population signed several protocols with a group of Egyptian universities, within the framework of joint cooperation to train male and female students of colleges of pharmacy, in training places approved by the Supreme Council of Universities, to acquire the practical experience necessary to carry out the professional responsibilities of a pharmacist after graduation.
This comes within the framework of developing the capabilities and skills of graduates of colleges of pharmacy. To meet the needs of the labor market, improve the quality of performance, and prepare qualified pharmacists to work in the field of health care, in a way that achieves harmony between academic study at universities and practical application on the ground.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said: Cooperation protocols stipulate that students of colleges of pharmacy in the Pharm D system will be received for training in hospitals and facilities affiliated with the Ministry of Health or under its technical supervision, according to the available places (capacity), and the Ministry undertakes the training as part of the training program allocated to them, as a condition for obtaining a bachelor’s degree.
«Abdul Ghaffar» added The duration of training for one course is 6 weeks, 5 days a week (30 hours per week), and the specialization is chosen by the Pharm D clinical student in the various clinical specialties.
The official spokesman for the Ministry explained that the protocol stipulates The Ministry of Health and Population is committed to providing the universities with information officially confirming that the students have completed the agreed-upon training period through each student’s log book and approved by the hospital after review and approval by the Director of Pharmacists and the General Administration of Pharmaceutical Affairs.
It is worth noting that the universities that have been Signing protocols together includes (Modern University for Technology and Information, Misr University for Science and Technology, British University in Egypt, Sinai University, Arish and Qantara Branches, Canadian University, Derayah University, Badr University, Horus University, Misr International University, New Giza University, Nahda University, and University of Badr, Future University, and Delta University).
