Minister of Sports: An effective role for youth in finding innovative solutions to global city issues during the Urban Forum
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, stressed the effective role of youth in the World Urban Forum, which is the second largest event on the United Nations agenda and is held in Cairo from November 4 to 8, to find innovative solutions to those issues facing global cities. , especially with regard to the climate.
The Minister of Youth and Sports said, in a statement to the Middle East News Agency on the sidelines of the activities of the Cairo Sports Bicycle Marathon, which is organized by the Cairo Governorate within the framework of the Week of Activities. The minister stressed that The Egyptian state cares greatly about empowering youth, and that is among the priorities of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who considers youth one of the main pillars in building the Egyptian future. Pointing out that the ministry has implemented many activities to involve youth in various fields, such as developing cities and addressing climate issues, which enhances Of their vital role in achieving sustainable development in Egypt and building a sustainable urban society that includes all segments of youth and enhances their ability to achieve the goals of the new republic.
The Minister of Youth and Sports sent a message to the youth through: Cairo Cycling Marathon, saying: “Your country, the political leadership, and the new republic open their arms to every young man, stand by his side, and help him train, work, and develop his capabilities.” He also thanked Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, for his keenness to organize the Cairo Marathon and work to spread the “Cairo Bike” project, which included 250 bicycles in its first phase and is being expanded.
