Egypt’s workers send a telegram to President Sisi reiterating his pledge to continue the effort and increase production

The General Federation of Egyptian Trade Unions, headed by Abdel Moneim El-Gamal, organized a major celebration on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the glorious October victories, at the headquarters of the General Union of Petroleum Workers, in the presence of members of the Board of Directors of the General Federation of Egyptian Trade Unions, heads of general unions, members of the House of Representatives, and presidents and members Trade union committees.

The celebration witnessed many speeches that revealed the role of Egyptian workers in the October War and before, and highlighted the supportive role of Egyptian workers to the political leadership and the Egyptian state in all entitlements for the sake of the stability of the nation.

Abdel Moneim El-Gamal, President of the General Federation of Egyptian Trade Unions, stressed in his speech that the October victories restored the nation’s dignity, and that Egypt’s workers today stand behind the political leadership to move toward building the new republic and increasing production.

El-Gamal said, "We are living in an exceptional circumstance that requires us all to come together and bond, to abandon personal and superficial matters and limited horizons, and to think with detachment in order for the nation to overcome this exceptional stage, which requires us to draw inspiration from the spirit of October, the spirit of determination and challenge, the spirit of victory and alignment around the nation."

The President of the General Federation of the Egyptian Trade Union sent a message on behalf of the workers of Egypt to the leader and protective shield, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, through which he renewed the pledge that the workers of Egypt will remain the soldiers of production and the solid wall of resistance against those who are biased, hateful, and haters of the renaissance and development of this country.  

Al-Gamal added that the General Federation of Egyptian Trade Unions has its national positions supporting all the steps of the political leadership, and is present with all its leaders, general unions, and union committees in all national entitlements.

He continued: It will remain The Egyptian Trade Union supports all the steps of the Egyptian state in facing all challenges internally and externally, declaring its full support for the Trade Union and its continued presence in the decisions the state takes at all political, social and economic levels.

El-Gamal said, I repeat to you what I believe in. Which is that aligning behind the political leadership and the armed forces is a deeply rooted doctrine in the souls of Egypt’s workers, translated into the people’s solidarity with the army in all situations and circumstances, and it will remain in the hearts and its importance understood by the minds, and that the stability and security of the homeland is our goal and defending it is a national duty for every individual. Defending is not only with weapons, but defending with words, rejecting division, confronting rumors, and standing up to those who try to spread negative energy and belittle every achievement.

Eid Mersal, Secretary-General of the General Federation of Egyptian Trade Unions, said that the Egyptian people wrote epic lines in the October War. Of patriotism, pride and dignity, and Egypt, with its army and its brave, heroic sons, regained its usurped right from the enemy.

Marsal added that Egypt’s workers presented the most wonderful examples of patriotism, altruism, sacrifice, and growing love for the precious soil of the turquoise land of Sinai, adding, as always our custom in Through the darkest trials and difficulties, we can amaze the whole world. Abbas Saber, head of the General Union of Petroleum Workers, said that Egypt’s workers played a great role in the October War, by assisting the armed forces in their equipment and manufacturing what was required of them to support the armed forces, indicating that Egypt’s workers are the soldiers of this stage, and we are working hard to spread awareness among Our workers and urge them to increase production so that we can have our strength and defeat our enemy and cross behind our leadership into the new republic behind our leader, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Greetings to the loyal workers of Egypt. Egypt, the aim of this celebration is to strengthen belonging and loyalty and introduce workers to the heroics presented by the heroes of the 1973 war, and the participation of workers and their role is an inspiration in the war, and the victory of October is the victory of pride and it is a symbol that extends throughout history.

She praised the Secretary General of the Union. Petroleum highlights the role of Egyptian women in participating in the 1973 war and standing outside the field to provide support to the families of soldiers, volunteering in hospitals, and offering what they have for the war effort.

Rep. Sayed Nasr, a member of the Manpower Committee in the House of Representatives, said that the October War The glorious will remain an epic and a song of pride that illuminates the horizons towards a future in which the memory of victory is mixed with the spirit of challenge, and embodies the cohesion of the army and people of Egypt, which astonished the entire world and testified to the ability and courage of our armed forces and the genius of political will and military planning, and proved to the whole world that Egypt will endure because of the army and people it possesses. My father, who has a national will and the ability to face all the challenges and serious events to make the impossible happen. 

Rep. Walaa Abdel Fattah, a member of the Youth and Sports Committee in the House of Representatives, said that this victory remains a source of inspiration for successive generations and evidence of the Egyptians’ ability to achieve The impossible was achieved thanks to their faith in their homeland and their unbreakable resolve.

And she continued, “Praise be to God for the blessing of safety and stability amid the tensions that some Arab countries are witnessing in the region. The credit goes to the political leadership and wisdom of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who called Egypt’s workers the White Hands. 

Dr. Jihad Amer, Director of Relations and Technical Office of the President of the Federation of Industries, said, “We are still breathing the fragrance of the victories of the glorious October War despite the passage of 51 years, which was and still is for us like the return of the soul to the body.< /p>

Amer continued, the Egyptian army rose up during the October War, announcing the transformation of the dream into reality, smashing the wall of despair and defeat, raising the banner of defiance and the slogan of victory, with features of glory on its forehead, to reclaim a precious spot on the homeland’s soil, and to announce the greatest epic victory. For Egypt in modern history, and to restore pride and dignity.

She added, we must all draw inspiration from the meanings of will and determination from the glorious October victories, and continue working to build and elevate the nation, supporting our wise political leadership, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in leading The ship of development and progress for the country.

The celebration included a lecture by Major General A.H. Bahjat Farid, former director of the National Defense College and lecturer at Nasser Military Academy, entitled The Epic of October and the Crossing of the New Republic " He spoke about the security and stability achieved by the October victory for Egypt and examples of will, determination and confidence.

At the conclusion of the celebration, the General Federation of the Egyptian Trade Union honored a number of labor leaders and participants in the celebration.
