Husband of British filmmaker Isabelle Thomas who jumped to her death from Los Angeles hotel ‘was filing for divorce and custody of their children at the time’
A Hollywood movie producer was divorcing his wife and seeking custody of their children when she jumped to her death from a hotel balcony.
Isabelle Thomas, 39, was found lying by the pool area of the Hotel Angeleno in Los Angelos on January 29.
The English heiress shared twin daughters Poppy and Grace, both 3, with Oscar nominated producer Bradley Thomas who she married in 2018.
However, court papers have now revealed that four months prior to her death the famed producer had asked for a divorce citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ and asked for legal and physical custody of the twins.

According to the Sun, Isabelle was served on September 15 2023 and given 30 days to file a response, while the action prevented her from taking the children out of the state.
She then failed to attend a hearing on December 13 and Bradley did request ‘additional time to serve Respondent and file Proof of Service of Summons’ at the hearing, and the case was placed on hold.
The manner of death was listed as suicide by the LA County Coroner’s Office, citing multiple traumatic injuries.
On February 1, three days after his wife’s death, attorneys for Bradley filed a request to dismiss the divorce case without prejudice.
Born in the Cotswolds as Isabelle Lawrence, her father was Sir Henry Lawrence, 7th Baronet of Lucknow – a senior physicist at Cheltenham General Hospital, who then became the head of the radiotherapy unit at Bristol Oncology Centre.
She enjoyed a privileged childhood which saw her attend the private King Edward’s School and Prior Park College in Bath.
She went on to attend Oxford University, graduating with a degree in biological sciences. A varied career followed, which included Thomas addressing the UN and The World Bank, as well as being appointed by former British prime minister, David Cameron, to serve as a tech advisor.
