I Can’t Stop Listening to These 4 Impressive Harry Styles Cover Songs

Whether you’re a hardcore One Direction fan or not, you can’t deny that Harry Styles has quite the set of pipes. Not only has he released hit after hit of his own material, but he’s also quite talented when it comes to covering other artists’ works. Let’s look at just four super-impressive Harry Styles cover songs that the former boy band member did justice!

1. “Sledgehammer” by Peter Gabriel

Harry Style is clearly inspired by the 1970s and 1980s. That much is clear with his beautiful live cover of Peter Garbriels’ 1986 song “Sledgehammer” from the album So. Progressive rock isn’t exactly Styles’ go-to. However, this particular cover that he performed on The Howard Stern Show is so full of admiration, that it almost sounds like a gospel song.

2. “Big Yellow Taxi” by Joni Mitchell

Styles can take on virtually any genre, including folk rock. This Joni Mitchell classic from the 1970 album Ladies Of The Canyon was a pretty hefty hit outside of the US upon its release. Now, it’s since become a bit of a global cult classic. Styles covered the song on BBC Radio in quite a stripped-down fashion with the accompanying talents of Stephen Fry and company.

3. “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac

Out of most of the Harry Styles cover songs to pop up through the years, this one makes the most sense. Styles adores Fleetwood Mac and has been a fan since childhood. He first debuted his cover of “The Chain” from Fleetwood Mac’s famed 1977 album Rumours during his first solo tour, and it ended up becoming a staple for the entirety of that very tour.

4. “You’re Still The One” by Shania Twain

Harry Style has covered this classic country-pop tune a couple of times, once with Shania Twain herself and in a duet with Kacey Musgraves from a few years ago. Everyone was shocked when he took to the Coachella stage in 2022 to perform live with Twain, and their duets were next-level. But Styles’ particular rendition of “You’re Still The One” was particularly beautiful. We wouldn’t be surprised if Styles eventually released a country-pop album of his own someday.
