Julia Roberts, Taylor Swift, George Clooney and Other Hollywood Celebrities Who Are Supporting Kamala Harris Ahead of the US Elections
With the 60th quadrennial United States presidential elections, Hollywood celebrities are making all the headlines as they pick a side between being either a Democratic or a Republican. The major debate is between Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, and a significant amount of the entertainment industry seems to be gliding in support of the latter.
Of course, in this presidential race, which many deem one of the most important elections to date, Trump is trying to play his card as best as he can and has even managed to earn some significant supporters up his list. But when it comes to Harris, the fan following seems to be constantly increasing in numbers and names from Hollywood.
For one, she has scored herself some prominent supporters and endorsers among the likes of the billionaire singer Taylor Swift, the ever-entertaining heartthrob George Clooney, and Hollywood’s very own favorite Julia Roberts. But the notable names don’t end with just these three, as innumerable more celebs step up in support of Harris ahead of the US elections.
Here’s a list of the same, including most of the big names we know as of now who are extending their support to Kamala Harris. Without further ado, let’s dig in.
Hollywood Celebrities Supporting Kamala Harris in US Elections 2024
1. Kerry Washington & Tony Goldwyn
Late August 2024 saw actress Kerry Washington proudly jumping in support of Harris. This happened during the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois, when the Emmy winner chanted the vice president’s slogan “When we fight, we win!” with all the thousands of supporters in attendance.

3. Andy Cohen & Ben Stiller
Turns out, TV show host Andy Cohen and actor Ben Stiller are all in on the idea of having Harris as president as well. Apparently, the pair cited being girl dads as one of the major reasons behind them extending their support to the current vice president in this presidential race.
See @DouglasEmhoff‘s clip on X to see the duo speak in support of Harris.
4. Howard Stern
Howard Stern may have had a good time roasting people’s butts off on his shows and shedding light on the truth on one too many occasions, but he also seems to be a Democrat at heart.

That’s why I support Kamala Harris for president” (per Variety).
9. Mark Hamill
Yet another “White Dudes for Harris” guy, Mark Hamill has been one of the most prominent supporters of Hamill all this time.

10. Lizzo
In a proper influential manner, Lizzo danced to the rhythm of the Harris-Walz tune as well. Taking to her Instagram handle, she let fans know that not only had she cast her vote for the Harris Walz ticket, but also had T-shirts that held the lyrics “Its About MaDam Time!” from her famous song About Damn Time going perfectly with Harris’ campaign. Well, it is about damn time!

True pro-Harris-er? That’s Lee.

Julia Louis-Dreyfuss seems to be one of Harris’ most prominent supporters so far. Additionally, her Veep character of Selena Meyer also gained some spotlight for being similar to Harris since she is portrayed as “a very unhappy vice president” who, at a certain point, gets to run for president as well. But the actress was quick to point to MSNBC that her character, in her opinion, was closer to Trump than it ever was to Harris. (That must have stung.)
15. Eva Longoria
Desperate Housewives actress cum film producer Eva Longoria, too, has proudly announced her support for Harris as the next president of the United States. This happened during the last night of the Democratic National Convention event, where she spoke in high praise and backing of Harris, almost like a pro (see YouTube).
16. Sigourney Weaver
Sigourney Weaver is no newbie to supporting Harris either. To say the least, she seems to be one of the vice president’s strongest supporters, especially after she confessed she was “so excited about Kamala” during a press conference at the Venice Film Festival (see Variety).

Your voice matters, and this election’s too important to sit out.”
18. Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer Lawrence is further bringing star power to the Harris-Walz presidential campaign.
Talking to People, she shared her very simple reason for this choice, saying, “I’m voting for Kamala Harris because I think she’s an amazing candidate and I know that she will do whatever she can to protect reproductive rights. That’s the most important thing, is to not let somebody into the White House who is going to ban abortion.”

20. Taylor Swift
The Childless Cat Lady didn’t hesitate to endorse Kamala Harris just minutes after her debate with Donald Trump ended.

21. Misha Collins
Better known as Castiel in the Supernatural saga, Misha Collins is also rallying for Harris to take the presidential seat in the US next. 23. Michael Keaton
Michael Keaton took to the night when he was to host Saturday Night Live to encourage the audience to vote through his iconic tee emblazoned with the word “vote” on it.
Then came his message through his Instagram handle where he didn’t mince his words while blasting Trump and all the people thinking of attending his valley, claiming, “They have no respect for you, trust me.” Pro-Harris he is.
24. Aubrey Plaza
Aubrey Plaza has stepped up in support of Harris-Walz as well, using a similar tactic as pop billionaire Swift did while endorsing Harris.
Taking to her Instagram handle, the Agatha All Along actress posted a picture of herself with her cat captioned as “HARRIS 🇺🇸 WALZ”. Seems like she was triggered by Donald Trump‘s comments on pets as well.
25. George Clooney
One of the earliest endorsers, George Clooney is making sure Harris knows she has his support. In a statement, he praised Joe Biden and hyped Harris up, saying, “President Biden has shown what true leadership is. He’s saving democracy once again. 28. Yvette Nicole Brown
Yvette Nicole Brown‘s endorsement of Harris also came through her attendance at the Democratic National Convention event like many others on this list. Per Wio News, she attended the Our Future, Our Freedom celebration concert at the DNC to extend her support for the Harris-Walz ticket.
29. Jennifer Garner
Jennifer Garner is turning out to be one of the most prominent supporters of Harris, considering how her presence at the Moms for Harris event at a tearoom in Tucson, Arizona wasn’t the only way she endorsed the vice president for the next prez of USA (see the Deccan Herald).
Adding to this are her exclusive posts on Instagram which have made it evident that none but Harris will be getting her vote this time around.
30. Sally Field
Sally Field doesn’t have many posts on her Instagram, but she has ensured that the ones she does have are in support of Harris and “the earth, and women and human rights.”
To say the least, the eight posts she has on Instagram are all about the upcoming presidential elections and how choosing Harris would change everything for them, so there’s no doubt she’s counting on Kamala Harris to make the change.
While these 33 names are some of the most major ones standing in support of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz as the real Democrats, they aren’t the only ones doing so from Hollywood.
According to the New York Times, other major supporters include actors Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Robert De Niro, Molly Ringwald, and Matt Damon; producer Shonda Rhimes; filmmaker Lin-Manuel Miranda; and chef José Andrés.

All of this said, it’s inevitable to admit that Kamala Harris has really managed to garner some serious Hollywood star power up her sleeve. The only thing that remains to be seen is how powerful these endorsements turn out to be in the Democratic Party’s support.
