Sydney Airport bomb scare triggered as emergency services swarm on incoming international flight
There are reports of a bomb scare involving an incoming international flight at Sydney Airport.
According to Seven News, the incident involves Air New Zealand flight NZ247 from Wellington to Sydney.
The flight touched down safely in Sydney at 5.37pm only to be met more than 40 emergency services crews on the tarmac.
The A320 airliner – which carries up to 140 passengers – has since been isolated on a separate runway at the airport.
According to reports, incoming flights were initially placed in a holding pattern before landings resumed.
Sydney Airport referred Daily Mail Australia to NSW Police, who said they were aware of the reports but declined to comment.
