The Minister of Housing is following up on the progress of work"Central Business District" In the administrative capital
The Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, held a meeting today, Tuesday, to follow up on the progress of work on the “Central Business District” project. In the New Administrative Capital, and the “Downtown Towers” and “Crystal Lagoon” projects in the New Alamein City.
This came in the presence of the Assistant Minister of Housing for Technical Affairs, Dr. Abdel Khaleq Ibrahim, and the Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority. For the development and urban development sector, Engineer Amin Ghoneim, Assistant Vice President of the Authority for Financial and Administrative Affairs, accountant Muhammad Rajai, General Director of the Technical Office of the Minister, Engineer Amr Khattab, officials of Incom, and the consulting office.
The Minister of Housing stressed the necessity of adhering to the timetables for the initial delivery of the towers in the Central Business District in the New Administrative Capital, as well as the specific dates for completing the finishing work on the external facades of the Downtown Towers, and the first phase of the El Alamein “Crystal Lagoon” lakes. In New Alamein City.
He pointed out that the central business district in the New Administrative Capital includes 20 towers, divided as follows: 10 towers with activities (administrative – office – commercial – Service), and 5 residential towers, in addition to the crescent towers (consisting of 4 connected towers) with activities (hotel, hotel apartments, public services – entertainment services – commercial), in addition to the iconic tower, which is the tallest tower in Africa, about 400 meters high, with multiple activities. (Hotel – Commercial – Administrative).
The Minister explained that the Downtown Towers project in New Alamein City includes the construction of 5 fully finished residential towers and services, which includes the iconic tower high 250 meters (68 floors) with a total surface area of 465 thousand square metres, and 4 towers with a height of 200 meters each (56 floors) with a total surface area of 320 thousand square meters, and in the middle of it is the El Alamein “Crystal Lagoon” lake, which includes a number of islands and many recreational and commercial activities to serve residents and visitors. The city, surrounded by a tourist promenade, will be comparable to similar projects around the world.
