Christopher Nkunku scores first international goal to put France 2-1 up against Israel by setting himself up with an OUTRAGEOUS Cruyff Turn that bamboozles three defenders

Chelsea and France forward Christopher Nkunku scored his first international goal for Les Bleus by teeing it up with an outrageous no-look turn on the edge of the area.

The 26-year-old Frenchman put his side up 2-1 in the 28th minute of France’s UEFA Nations League game with Israel, at the Bozsik Arena in Budapest, Hungary.

A well-worked move between Eduardo Camavinga and Ousmane Dembele left Nkunku with the ball at his feet and his back to goal, on the edge of the 18-yard box.

In an instant, Nkunku managed to wrong-foot three Israeli defenders trying to crowd him off the ball thanks to a lightening-quick Cruyff Turn.

He then knocked the ball into a yard of space and surged towards keeper Omri Glazer’s near post, to cooly slot home across the face of his goal.

This marked Nkunku’s first international goal for France, in his 11th national team appearance, since his first cap in 2022.

Remarkably, it also marked the Frenchman’s eight goal in 12 games for club and country, which includes a hat-trick against EFL League Two side, Barrow, in the third round of the Carabao Cup last month.

France would go on to dominate the Isreal national team on the night, winning comfortably 4-1.

A first-half goal from France midfielder Eduardo Camavinga was cancelled out by Israeli forward Omri Gandelman, but not before Nkunku could put Les Bleus ahead.

France took a stranglehold of the game in the second half, however, with two quick-fire goals from substitute Matteo Guendouzi and Bradley Barcola completing a late rout.

Les Bleus travel to Belgium to play their second uefa Nations League Group 2 game on Sunday.
