The Prime Minister inspects the new drinking water station in the village of Al-Hanadi, east of Esna

.. At the station, he follows up on the operations of testing water samples in one of the laboratories for testing water and constantly ensuring its purity and safety

 

during his tour today in the governorate Luxor: Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, inspected the new drinking water station in the village of Al-Hanadi, east of Esna, accompanied by Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Engineer Abdel Muttalib Mamdouh Emara, Governor of Luxor, and Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities.

The Prime Minister toured the station, where he listened to an explanation from the Governor of Luxor about the position of the drinking water service in the governorate, who indicated that the average production capacity of its water stations is about 380 thousand m3/day, with a coverage rate for beneficiaries. It reaches about 99.5%.  

The Minister of Housing also explained the components of the new drinking water station in the village of Al-Hanadi, east of Esna, noting that the station operates with a capacity of 17 thousand cubic meters / day, and is equipped with a 23-km transmission line, connecting 10 villages that are fed by The station, where about 130 thousand people benefit from it. He also visited the filters building, listened to an explanation about the components of the main control panel, then watched from the viewing point of the sedimentation basins, where he also listened to an explanation about the stages of water filtration, starting from its entry into the turbid water line coming from the Nile, all the way to the production of pure drinking water.  

 

The station director added that it includes a pump house, with 3 turbid water pumps, in addition to a drinking water tank with a capacity of 5 thousand cubic meters, a transformer room, and a fuel tank.< /p>
