The Secretary General of the Medical Professions announces an increase in chronic disease contributions for members
Dr. Muhammad Alaa El-Din, Secretary-General of the Medical Professions Union, which includes the unions of “human doctors, dentists, veterinarians, and pharmacists,” announced an increase in the values of the financial contributions that the Union provides to members, which include liver, kidney, and cochlear transplant diseases, and open-heart surgeries. And cancerous tumors, as well as contributions made in accidents and disasters.
The Secretary-General of the Union explained that the contribution in cases of liver and kidney transplantation, open-heart surgeries and cancerous diseases had been raised from 10 thousand pounds to 30 One thousand pounds, and the contribution in cases of cochlear implantation was raised from 7 thousand pounds to 20 thousand pounds, in addition to the contribution in cases of disasters, which include a fire or the collapse of a property, to 20 thousand pounds.
He stressed that disbursement of contributions is available. For members of the union, they must submit an original medical report from the hospital regarding the medical condition. "The Federation Council shall establish a fund called the Subsidies and Pensions Fund, which shall have a legal personality and be headquartered in the city of Cairo. It shall pay a pension to all members of the Federation of Medical Professions Syndicates and their families and temporary or periodic subsidies in accordance with the provisions of this law. The Federation Council shall manage this fund and shall be legally represented by the President of the Federation Council." ;.
