Pope Tawadros: The October victory is a white page in the history of the Egyptian military and the history of Egyptians
His Holiness Pope Tawadros II congratulated the Egyptian people on the occasion of the fifty-first anniversary of the October victories, noting that this victory is a blank page in the history of the Egyptian military, and our history as Egyptians.
And it is the fruit of the spirit of precision, planning and sound vision, and God blessed all of this, so victory came and the land of Sinai was liberated.
He added: "As we remember the victory, we remember with it the martyrs, the injured, and all those who contributed to this great work."
This came during his sermon at the weekly Wednesday meeting that he held this evening in the Church of Our Lady. The Virgin and Saint Pope Athanasius the Apostolic in Nasr City.
Regarding the current situation in the region, His Holiness the Pope said: We pray in these days for the safety of our country and the safety of the Middle East region, and that God will give wisdom to the leaders. For the peace of peoples, children, women and men, their future, education and health.”
He added emphatically: “We pray and we believe that prayer moves mountains and moves hearts and minds,” stressing to his listeners that They always pray for these matters.
He concluded: “We thank God for the peace and stability of our country, even if there are some crises, but the blessing of peace and security cannot be priceless.”
