REVEALED: What Fox bosses REALLY thought of Tom Brady’s TV debut as fans slammed ‘atrocious’ first appearance of $375m, 10-year deal

Tom Brady will defy those critics who slammed the start of his 10-year, $375million deal as a broadcaster on FOX Sports – with his bosses offering him their full support.

That is according to a source close to the NFL legend, who came under fire on his debut as a color commentator on Sunday’s game between the Cleveland Browns against the Dallas Cowboys.

After only 20 minutes of his 10-year, $375million deal, Brady was facing criticism on social media, with one user branding him ‘atrocious’.

According to someone close to the seven-time Super Bowl winner, however, FOX executives were happy with his performance.

They claim Brady will work to prove wrong those who doubt his abilities as a broadcaster, insisting many are simply jealous of the 47-year-old: ‘Let people b****, Tom will be fine,’ they said.

The former quarterback is already preparing for his next assignment in the booth, when the New Orleans Saints visit the Dallas Cowboys in week two.

Brady posted a picture on Instagram of him studying, alongside the caption: ‘Back to work’

And the source told DailyMail.com: ‘Tom isn’t worried about his job, he is just looking forward to the next test and always be improving, that is who he is.

‘He is well known for proving people wrong, so this is just another example of that… he has a decade to get it all right and if anyone is going to make it work, it is pretty much a fact that Tom Brady will deliver the goods more times than not.

‘It is just in his DNA, he did great, he will get better and that is all that everyone at Fox is concerned about.’

The source insisted that Brady will listen to both his detractors and those who enjoyed his commentary debut ‘as he strives to be great in everything he does, and this is just the same.’

They added: ‘He knew he wasn’t going to be the best broadcaster of all time right out of the gate, it is something to learn, it is something to get a handle on.

‘He had some hiccups but to think he was terrible is a bit drastic.’
