Revealed: Struggling star is Man United’s highest earner as transfer flop makes the top five – but key midfielder is the LOWEST-paid player in Erik ten Hag’s squad

Manchester United’s wages for the 2024-25 season have been revealed with three players currently earning more than £300,000 a week.

Captain Bruno Fernandes penned a new three-year deal last month, bringing him in line with the club’s highest earners after he previously was on a £240,000 a week deal.

With this, he joins Brazilian midfielder Casemiro at the top of the list on £375,000 a week.

While Fernandes is arguably the star of the team, former Real Madrid star Casemiro has struggled since the start of last season.

Mail Sport reported on Wednesday that the Brazilian is determined to fight for his place at Old Trafford and reject any offers to move to Turkey.

Casemiro has been linked with Galatasaray since his dismal display against Liverpool on Sunday, where he was at fault for the first two goals scored by Arne Slot’s side.

As reported by the Sun, the top two are followed by England internationals Marcus Rashford (£350,000) and Mason Mount (£250,000).

Rashford, like Casemiro, has struggled for form since the start of last season, scoring just eight goals in that time – compared to 30 in the 2022-23 campaign.

Mount too has struggled, but he has been plagued by injury issues since his move from Chelsea in the summer of 2023.

Also in the top five is Antony (£200,000), who has failed to live up to expectations since his £85m move to the Red Devils.

Of United’s new signings, Matthis de Ligt is the highest earner at £195,000, with Leny Yoro on £115,000 and Joshua Zirkzee taking £105,000.

However, the wages for both Noussair Mazraoui and Manuel Ugarte are still unknown, so it’s not sure how they stack up with their fellow new arrivals.

Rounding off the top ten earners in the club after De Ligt, are Harry Maguire (£190,000), Christian Eriksen and Luke Shaw on £150,000 with Victor Lindelof, Lisandro Martinez and Andre Onana who are all taking £120,000.

Matthis de Ligt is the highest confirmed earner from the summer signings, though the wages of Noussair Mazraoui and Manuel Ugarte are yet to be revealed

Key midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is the lowest-paid player out of those listed on £20,000 – even lower than other youngsters Amad Diallo (£29,000) and Alejandro Garnacho (£50,000).

However, given his stunning start to life at Old Trafford, as well as making the England squad at Euro 2024, it only seems a matter of time before he is handed a new contract.
