A public reception for Mohamed El-Sayed, the bronze medalist at the Paris Olympics, after his arrival in Cairo
Mohamed El-Sayed, the Egyptian fencing team player, arrived at Cairo Airport a short while ago, after winning a historic bronze medal in the Olympic Games currently being held in the French city of Paris and continuing until August 11. The Egyptian champion was received by a large delegation from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf El-Begirmy, Head of the Sports Sector at the Ministry, Dr. Abdel Awal Mohamed, Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports, in addition to a delegation from the Rabitat Sports Company, and Captain Tarek El-Husseini, First Vice President of the Egyptian Fencing Federation. There was also a large public reception for the Egyptian fencing champion, after achieving a great achievement in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
A press conference is scheduled to be held at the Olympic Center Theater to celebrate the Egyptian champion. Mohamed El-Sayed achieved a historic achievement after winning Egypt’s first medal in the Paris Olympics and the second for fencing, writing his name in the history of Egyptian sports. Mohamed El Sayed became the second Egyptian player to win an Olympic medal in fencing after Alaa El Din Abu El Qasim, who won silver in foil at the 2012 London Olympics.
Captain Abdel Moneim El Husseini, head of the Egyptian Fencing Federation and member of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, congratulated the Egyptian champion Mohamed El Sayed after achieving a historic accomplishment, expressing his pride and appreciation for the Egyptian fencing champion and the technical level he displayed during the Olympics.
