Nayel Nassar withdraws from the equestrian competitions at the Paris Olympics.. Find out the reason
The Egyptian Equestrian Federation announced today, Saturday, the official withdrawal of the rider Nael Nassar from the equestrian competitions.
The Egyptian Equestrian Federation explained in its statement that Nael Nassar’s withdrawal came after his horse was injured in the front right leg last Friday evening.
The Equestrian Federation indicated that the injury came at a difficult time after the horse passed the “first medical test for horses.” Which will be held on July 31.
The Olympic rules prohibit replacing or changing any horse after this date, in addition to allowing only one horse for each rider in the “first medical test for horses.”
Therefore, Egypt will not be allowed to replace the injured horse or even replace the rider Nael Nassar with another.
This will result in the end of Egypt’s participation in equestrianism in the Paris Olympics.
The Equestrian Federation revealed that Nael Nassar is the sixth rider to withdraw from the Olympics due to the injury of his horse after the first medical test, with one from France, the Netherlands, America, and two from Mexico, which was forced to withdraw with its entire team after qualifying for the team final.
