Loading of more than 100 thousand tons of grain begins after the signing of the Istanbul agreement

It is planned to ship more than 100 thousand tons of grain to foreign markets from the port of Berdyansk.

Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Main Council of the Regional Administration, told TASS that four large-capacity dry cargo ships are now being loaded there.

“Vessels are on the way, preparations are underway, they are being loaded, and over 100,000 tons are being prepared for shipment to overseas markets. These are four large capacity dry cargo ships.”

On July 22, representatives of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Nations signed an agreement in Istanbul on the creation of a corridor for the export of agricultural products from Ukraine through the Black Sea.

From Russia and Turkey, the document was signed by Defense Ministers Sergei Shoigu and Hulusi Akar. From Ukraine – Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kobrakov.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the country has grain worth about $10 billion. The United Nations expects that up to five million tons of grain can be exported per month from Ukrainian ports.
