The fast-approaching 2022 transfer window in January could see some of Europe’s biggest stars.
Rumors keep surfacing and the top European teams are looking for the missing pieces that will put them on top.
That includes players like Erling Haaland or Eden Hazard, with the five most eye-catching potential transfers listed below.
Kylian Mbappe
The jewel in the crown, it is the most sought-after player in the market. PSG refused to let him leave in the summer, but his contract now expires in June 2022, when he will be able to freely sign with any team.
Paris Saint-Germain may now decide that it does not want to be left empty-handed and can accept a good offer this winter, especially from Real Madrid, the first candidate to bring in young talents.
Eden Hazard
One of the players who could leave Real Madrid, who was called up to be a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo but did not even deliver half as the club had hoped.
It is rumored that he might return to England, while the former Lille club is also believed to be interested in bringing him back one day.
Anthony Martial
Anthony Martial may be on his way out of Old Trafford sooner rather than later, as the Frenchman has come to the conclusion that his time at Manchester United is up.
Several clubs will be interested, including Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Newcastle, Arsenal and Seville.
Erling Haaland
The Norwegian striker has been one of the most in-demand players for some seasons, and his release clause will be €75m as of this summer, making him one of the most expensive gems.
Barcelona have been linked with him, as well as several other big clubs, with Borussia Dortmund’s early exit from the Champions League meaning the striker could be sold in January rather than at the end of this season.
Sergino Dest
One player who could come out to raise money for Barcelona is full-back Sergino Dest. The USMNT player hasn’t been able to take off as expected and, coupled with his multiple injuries, could leave the team.
Chelsea have already prepared a €30m offer for the American, so it is very likely that he will leave Barcelona, especially with Dani Alves already on board.
