The Telegraph, citing Dr Ryan Nawash, reported that the new Omicron COVID-19 strain has two unusual presentations for this type of virus.
Patients with the aforementioned strain complained of back pain and sore throat. After analyzing nearly 78 thousand cases of infection, experts came to the conclusion that patients are 23% less likely to arrive in hospitals compared to people diagnosed with the “delta” strain. However, as stated in the post, this result of the analysis does not equate to the fact that the new type of coronavirus is less dangerous than the previous one.
It is noted that the severity of the disease can be affected by several levels of immunity in humans, which they acquired as a result of infection and after vaccination.
