Married At First Sight star Tony Mojanovski has revealed he was hospitalised for emergency heart surgery after suffering extreme chest pains.
It all kicked off on Thursday morning, when the reality star – who was married to Morena Farina on the most recent season of MAFS – admitted himself to Wollongong Hospital after feeling unwell throughout the week.
After noting his symptoms, which included heartburn, doctors performed an emergency coronary artery bypass graft, which is said to have saved his life.
“During the week I wasn’t feeling well,” Mojanovski recalled in a statement to Daily Mail.
“It has been happening for a long time. I was just feeling not right, like something was on my chest every now and then, giving me heartburn and stuff like that.”
Mojanovski said that after the health scare, he plans on prioritising his health by avoiding smoking and “partying”.
“I was smoking, the cigarettes, the stress, [the] partying – just too many things. It caught up with me,” he said.
“I just need some time without the partying.”
Mojanovski was visited in hospital by fellow MAFS season 12 alum Ryan Donnelly, who shared photos of his visit and revealed that Mojanovski had also been contacted by Adrian Araouzou following his surgery.
“Tony Time had a brief intermission”, Donnelly wrote alongside an image of him hugging Mojanovski on his hospital bed.
“Dropped by to see my best mate and he was literally on the phone with Adrian. Can’t keep a good Macedonian man down, he’ll be back to his best in no time!”

It comes as Donnelly faces a legal battle with his on-screen wife Jacqui Burfoot, whom he is seeking an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (ADVO) against.
Donnelly is seeking the legal protection on claims that Burfoot harassed and sent “horrible messages” to him, but she denied the allegations in a recent response video on TikTok.
Following the season 12 finale, MAFS is currently casting for the 2026 instalment, but given the sheer firestorm of drama that follows the participants, you’re probably better off watching the inevitable wine-throws from afar.
