Charlamagne tha God floats shock new target for axman Musk: ‘Where’s DOGE when you need them?’

Charlamagne tha God has urged Elon Musk and his DOGE cronies to target President Trump for their next investigation into wasteful spending.

The radio host slammed Trump amid reports he plans to throw a costly military parade to coincide with his 79th birthday.

Everyday Americans are still struggling with a cost of living crisis while markets plummet on the back of Trump’s controversial reciprocal tariffs.

‘Nothing to celebrate right now, my guy,’ Charlamagne said on his radio show The Breakfast Club on Tuesday.

‘Where’s DOGE at when you need them?’ he said. ‘DOGE can’t intervene in a situation like this? That seems like wasteful spending to me.’

Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency is designed to root out wasteful government spending.

The controversial taskforce has set about slashing federal jobs and dismantling entire departments in all but name, with an estimated 60,000 roles cut since Trump returned to the White House.

Amid simmering tensions between Musk and some of Trump’s closest advisors, the world’s richest man is reportedly halfway out the door, leaving a question mark over the department.

The White House maintains there is no rift between the president and his ‘First Buddy’, noting that Musk’s role was always temporary.

Charlamagne’s call for Trump himself to be investigated centers around reports that he is planning a military parade for June 14.

The event coincides with his 79th birthday and the 250th anniversary of the US Army.

The White House hosed down suggestions, insisting no parade has been ‘scheduled.’

But according to the report, the administration is looking into throwing an enormous celebration which would stretch from the Pentagon in Arlington to the White House.

Arlington County Board Chair Takis Karantonis told the publication the county was given a ‘heads up’ about the potential event on Friday, giving them just nine weeks to prepare.

‘I would hope the Federal Government remains sensitive to the pain and concerns of numerous active military and veteran residents, who have lost or might lose their jobs in recent federal decisions,’ Karantonis said.

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser also confirmed the administration had reached out about the parade.

‘If military tanks were used, they should be accompanied with many millions of dollars to repair the roads,’ she said.

Charlamagne tha God said throwing a party while the economy is ‘in the toilet… and people’s people’s 401(k)’s [are] being slashed’ sends a bad message to the public.

Instead, he suggested Trump throw ‘a nice little light party at Mar-a-Lago for family and close friends.

‘Don’t involve our military with that foolishness,’ he added.

In a statement, Army spokesperson Colonel David Butler said ‘it’s too early to say yet whether or not we’re having a parade but we’re working with the White House as well as several government agencies to make the celebration a national level event.’

He said after watching the two-hour procession along the famed Champs-Elysees that he wanted a grander one in Washington on Pennsylvania Avenue.

But the event never happened due to expected high costs, with one estimate of a $92 million price tag, and logistical hangups.

At the time, he said in a post on Twitter that he was canceling the event over costs and accused local politicians of price gouging.
