Married At First Sight‘s (MAFS) Adrian Araouzou and his wife’s twin sister, Cleo Rutene, have clashed for a second time, but just like round one, the controversial groom was chewed up and spat out by the breakout MAFS fan-favourite.

While Awhina Rutene and Adrian Araouzou’s relationship has been quite smooth sailing since the whole blow-up at Family and Friends Week, unsurprisingly, Adrian’s relationship with Awhina’s twin Cleo has remained fractured.
To give you a quick recap, during Family and Friends Week, Cleo got into it with Adrian, his friend Jasmin and his sisters Elita and Nikola, after they came after Awhina for calling out Adrian’s shitty behaviour.
As a result of the big blow-up, Adrian and his posse ended up leaving the table, leaving a bitter taste in Cleo’s (and the rest of Australia’s) mouth.
Monday night’s episode became the first time Adrian and Cleo met since that disastrous luncheon, as the controversial groom headed to Perth for Homestays Week.
Ahead of his departure to Perth, Adrian expressed his concern about facing off with Cleo, telling producers that he expects an apology from Awhina’s twin.
“Yeah, I don’t know how I’m gonna go with seeing Cleo. That is one of the biggest issues we have,” Adrian shared before adding that “it’s done” if their families cannot get along.
After touching down in Perth, Adrian honestly looked so uninterested and bored as Awhina showed him around her humble abode.
To help ease the stress of meeting Cleo, Awhina decided to do some baking while Adrian watched on.
“Are you looking forward to seeing my sister?” Awhina asked.
“No. As if I would be looking forward to seeing your sister,” Adrian replied.
“Obviously we had a bit of a disagreement. My twin sister would never really voice up like that but she’s seen that I was struggling. I just felt so little and she jumped in,” Awhina responded.
Adrian went on to claim that he wasn’t annoyed that Cleo stuck up for Awhina, but “it was about how she spoke [to him]” before revealing that he expects an apology.
“Unless I’m delusional here and completely in the wrong, screaming at someone is not the right to do, ever,” Adrian dished in a voxxie, completely in the wrong.
KEEP IN MIND: Cleo got the shits with Adrian because his sisters and friend were interrogating Awhina at the Family and Friends lunch.
Also, Adrian was being a shitty partner up until then too. So yes, you’re in the wrong, buddy.
The kitchen conversation then blew up into a mini argument with Awhina shutting down the conversation while Adrian demanded an apology.
But before the conversation was donezo, Adrian told producers in a voxie that “Cleo was the cause of the problem”.
“I still want her to take some accountability. I won’t be happy until Cleo apologises,” Adrian shared.
Skipping forward, Awhina and Adrian are having brunch with Awhina’s mum alongside Cleo, but before they can sit down, Cleo expressed that she was surprised that Adrian and Awhina were still together.
After they sat down, the MAFS drama strings began to ring with shots of Cleo starring daggers at Adrian.

Finally, Cleo spoke up, explaining that she was filled with “negative emotions”.
“I just feel like this is a fake relationship,” Cleo shared as she stared down at Adrian.
Shortly after Cleo broke the ice, revealing that she’s only heard the negative of their relationship, it was like a tennis match. Adrian was firing shots, Cleo was firing shots — it was just an argument ready to explode.
The dramatic music amped up when Cleo suggested that Awhina and her mama head inside to get the cheesecake ready so she and Adrian could chat in private. HERE WE GO, BESTIES! BRING OUT THE POPCORN.
Kicking right off from where they left off at the Friends and Family lunch, both of them began to express how they felt about what happened.
“Personally I didn’t agree with you yelling at me and calling me and my friends’ names, that was wrong,” Adrian said before Cleo called him and his friends out for their aggressive behaviour towards Awhina.
Cleo then told Adrian that she could tell her sister had been crying, to which he denied it, claiming her face was “puffy” because she’d been sleeping.
She then owned him by saying that she felt like he was being “dismissive” of Awhina’s feelings and revealed that her sister reached out to her because she was crying before the disastrous lunch happened.
“My sister was upset. It was as clear as day. His family came at her pretty heavily, but he’s only seeing his side of the story,” Cleo shared to producers in a piece to camera
“I am protective of my sister and I will come that way every time it comes to my family,” Cleo smiled at Adrian.
“I felt like how I felt was valid.”
In a voxie, Cleo said she “didn’t appreciate” that Adrian was trying to “twist the whole scenario” and that she didn’t like the whole interaction before sharing this mic drop moment in Adrian’s FACE.
“Me and Awhina look at life like a book, we both read. I’m looking at you as a chapter in her life I just don’t see you as the ending,” Cleo shared, completely burning the ‘villain’ groom!!!!!

Well, it looks like Adrian is out of luck when it comes to that apology! And with the recent social media moves Cleo made, it looks like they’ve never sorted things out post-MAFS.
