Received d. Badr Abdel -Ati Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Abdullah Al -Dardari, Assistant Secretary -General of the United Nations and Director of the Regional Office of the Arab States in the United Nations Development Program, on Saturday 15 March, to consult on the Arab plan for the reconstruction of Gaza and the Cairo Ministerial Conference for Early Recovery and the Reconstruction of Gaza. To implement the Arab plan for the reconstruction of Gaza and benefit from the experiences available to it, especially in the early recovery phase in preparation for the reconstruction of the Strip. The Minister of Foreign Affairs was keen to get to know what the program can provide to implement the plan, expressing the aspiration to provide the program support to the Cairo Ministerial Conference for the Reconstruction of Gaza, which will be organized jointly with the United Nations and the Palestinian government. Egypt, and the aspiration for the program to increase its contributions during the coming period to support the government’s efforts, especially in development projects that aim to create job opportunities, attract foreign investments, and increase production, in order to enhance opportunities to achieve sustainable development goals, in line with the priorities of the Egyptian government. Arabic, especially in light of the current political and security and social challenges, as Egypt is a major partner of the program in implementing these efforts, and its work continuously to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences to ensure the achievement of tangible and positive results on the ground. Early and reconstruction in Gaza adopted by the extraordinary Arab summit and the ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, expressing preparedness to provide all aspects of technical and logistical support during the next stage, which contributes to the success of the reconstruction conference in Egypt, and that it puts the accumulated experiences of the United Nations Development Program in early recovery and reconstruction at Egypt’s disposal to benefit from it and contribute to the implementation of the Arab plan.
