The question that left Jake Trbojevic STUMPED after Manly’s shock loss to New Zealand Warriors

Sea Eagles vice-captain Jake Trbojevic is the nicest bloke in the NRL – and his trademark manners were on full display during a cringeworthy interview after his team’s shock loss to the Warriors on Friday night.
The lock forward was asked by a Sky Sports reporter why he went up the tunnel after receiving a ‘yellow card’ following a professional foul in the second half.
Always the gentleman, Trbojevic politely informed the sideline journalist that rugby league players must head to the sheds when sin-binned as they ‘aren’t allowed to stay on the sideline.’
The embarrassing exchange wasn’t missed by footy fans, who called out the lack of knowledge on social media, with yellow cards used in rugby and soccer – not the NRL.
‘Sky Sports commentary pundits are amateurish,’ fumed one on X.
‘Yellow card? Why did you go to the sheds? It ain’t [rugby] union,’ said another.
A third weighed in with: ‘When you have these ‘reporters’ who go between Union/League/Football, who read the same script in all three sports, you have to expect garbage.’
Meanwhile, it was a grim night for the Sea Eagles, with superstar Tom Trbojevic suffering a hamstring scare and Daly Cherry-Evans back spasms in a horror 36-16 loss to the hosts.

On a night to forget for the Sea Eagles, fullback Tom Trbojevic failed to finish the game due to hamstring tightness
Coach Anthony Seibold confirmed Trbojevic had suffered ‘tightness’ and that he was taken off the field as a precaution given the fullback has endured six hamstring injuries previously.
Captain Cherry-Evans left the field shortly after Trbojevic with seven minutes to play, collapsing to his knees in defence and clutching at his lower back.
‘Chez had a little back spasm,’ Seibold said post game.
‘And Turbo was feeling a little bit of tightness, so we need to get both of them checked.’
A long-term injury to either player would be a significant blow to Manly, with the duo at the centrepiece of their team’s attack.
It follows Trbojevic’s scintillating performance in his team’s commanding round one win against the Cowboys.
Medical staff will decide if the No.1 requires scans, but regardless ‘Turbo’ appears to be at long odds to feature in the Sea Eagles’ next match versus the Raiders on March 23 at Brookvale Oval.
