Many people go through a period where they swear off men or experience a dry spell – but one woman has declared she has no plans to get physical.
TikTok user Sarah shared the reactions she gets from people after telling them she hasn’t been physically intimate with anyone before – revealing she hasn’t even been kissed.
‘I want to talk about the reactions I get from telling people this fact about myself,’ the 39-year-old shared in a recent video posted online.
Sarah continued, admitting she’s never been ‘so much as had a proper kiss,’ saying the reactions are ‘always, always funny.’
According to the content creator, usually ‘one of three things’ will happen.
‘The first is the people that are just genuinely, wholesomely, shocked and curious. These are the people that are fun to talk to because they’re not judging in anyway,’ she shared. ‘They’re just curious.’
‘The second reaction I tend to get is people that are almost offended by it,’ she explained, adding it’s ‘bizarre.’
Sarah said the third reaction ‘may actually be her favorite,’ which is people doing a ‘full on blank stare’ and look at her like she’s ‘morphed into a space alien.’

‘This whole me not having done these things like it’s not computing, it is not processing.’
‘They are not grasping what is going on right now,’ she concluded.
In a previous video, the woman admitted she just ‘hasn’t been interested’ in anyone enough to date them, and also suffers from anxiety.
‘I was a little boy crazy when I was in my teens and 20s,’ she admitted. ‘There was always at least one guy I was into – usually two or three.’
Sarah then admitted that the older she gets, and the longer she stays single, the less interested she is.
‘There are guys I think are good looking, don’t get me wrong,’ she shared. ‘But being into somebody, that hasn’t been the case since my late 20s or early 30s.’
Sarah admitted she doesn’t know if that’s ‘ever going to change anytime soon,’ but she’s ‘cool with that.’
‘I’m at peace right now with my singledom.’

Sarah has even gone as far as to say she may not ever be intimate with someone.
‘I don’t want to disturb my inner peace because it’s taken so long to get here,’ she explained.
Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn, a sex and relationship expert, told DailyMail.com previously that people who are sexually inactive can experience a very rare condition called penile atrophy or vaginal atrophy – where tissue can become less elastic causing it to shrink by one to two centimeters.
She also says that going a month or more without having sex may cause men and women to experience increased stress levels due to sexual frustration, anxiety, depression and anger issues.
Experts warned that not having sex over weeks, months or years can have harmful effects on the human body.
Most people need affection, touch and sexual connections with others and without it, your mental health could deteriorate, causing anxiety, depression and increased levels of stress, Suwinyattichaiporn said.
