Forget the Epstein files, this is the REAL bombshell: Top lawyer makes fresh case for why billionaire was MURDERED… and it’s scarily compelling

From the moment Jeffrey Epstein was found dead on his prison cell floor six years ago, a noose made from an orange bedsheet around his neck, the conspiracy theories ran wild.

Did the 66-year-old billionaire convicted paedophile – who was facing sex trafficking charges – die by his own hand? Or was it actually murder?

Epstein’s links internationally to powerful individuals in politics, business, security services and royalty – and the damaging information he’s believed to have had on some of them – was judged to be reason enough by conspiracists.

Now, with the release of the so-called Epstein Files – which are expected to unveil the financier’s final secrets and perhaps those of his associates – said to be imminent, a lawyer at the heart of the saga reveals why he believes Epstein was murdered.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail, Spencer Kuvin, chief legal officer at Goldlaw Law Firm in West Palm Beach, who met Epstein on several occasions and has fought relentlessly for his victims over 20 years says: ‘I can’t tell you he definitely didn’t commit suicide, but it looks suspicious.’

He points to his personal knowledge of ‘arrogant’ and ‘egotistical’ Epstein and the mysterious failings by prison guards in the hours leading up to his death.

‘He believed he was going to get out of jail because what he did [in his mind] was perfectly legal, perfectly fine.

‘He said to me point blank: “I paid [the girls], they accepted, I didn’t drug them. So, it’s legal”.

‘So why would he kill himself if he didn’t feel he’d done anything wrong, especially before he’s convicted.’

Mr Kuvin, who represented the first Epstein victim to come forward in 2007 and currently represents five women who’ve since testified that they endured horrific sexual abuse at the financier’s Palm Beach mansion, added:

‘The timing is suspicious. If he had been convicted and knows he’s going away… but before he had a trial, before he even defended himself, before he gets a chance to speak?

‘[And] right after they pull [out] his cellmate, two cameras fail, two guards fall asleep. In the highest security prison, nearly, in the United States, where we’ve held international terrorists. Or he was killed?’

Epstein’s death, as he awaited trial on new charges of sex trafficking underage girls, was certainly convenient for some high profile and powerful people around the world.

He had assiduously courted celebrities, politicians, royalty and top CEOs worldwide – most famously Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Prince Andrew, ex-Barclays banking chief Jes Staley and the Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Barak. He is also alleged to have had links to the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad.

While there is no suggestion that any of those named above are implicated in Epstein’s criminal activities, many had enjoyed lavish hospitality at his New York and Palm Beach mansions.

Others had travelled on his private jet, dubbed the ‘Lolita Express’ because of the regular presence of teenage girls, and visited his island, Little St James in the US Virgin Islands, allegedly the center of his sex trafficking empire.

Flight logs – naming who travelled where and when – are likely to be included in the Epstein Files, which Attorney General Pam Bondi has promised she will release after lobbying by senior Republicans who have attacked Democrats for a lack of transparency on Epstein. Bondi has said the contents of the files ‘will make you sick’.

It is believed there is information on Epstein’s former girlfriend and co-defendant Ghislaine Maxwell, who reportedly had a ‘little black book’ of names, which allegedly includes the names of people allegedly involved in the couple’s sex crimes.

Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence in Tallahassee, Florida, for conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors. She has said she believes Epstein was murdered.

The FBI is also said to have a trove of Epstein-related evidence, including a video and audio tapes.

Epstein was being held at the New York’s notorious Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC), a grim cockroach and rat-infested building, after his arrest on July 6 2019.

Over the next month, according to records released by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Epstein held meetings with his legal team every day and at various times was assessed by psychologists.

He was on ‘psychological observation’ or ‘suicide watch’ in the early days of his incarceration. There was a suspected suicide attempt on July 23. Though there were also claims the incident could have been due to an attack by his cellmate – awaiting trial for four murders – while others suggested it had been ‘staged’ by Epstein.

CCTV footage of the incident was apparently deleted.

Latterly, Epstein was reported to be ‘not suicidal’ and ‘future orientated’ by psychologists. On July 11, he told psychologists he was not suicidal and never would be, because it was against his Jewish faith.

He was also in telephone contact with his Belarusian girlfriend, Karyna Shuliak, then 30.

At 6.33am on August 10, 2019, Epstein, whose current cellmate had been released the previous day, was found dead by two guards. It later emerged that the guards did not carry out the checking rounds – every 30 minutes – expected of them during an eight-hour shift and they falsified entries in the logbook to suggest they had done so. Instead, they spent the night on their computers and sleeping.

Epstein’s body was rushed to hospital, but in a violation of prison protocol, the cell was not treated as a crime scene nor was his body photographed before removal.

A US justice department watchdog later concluded that Epstein was able to kill himself due to a ‘combination of negligence and misconduct’ by jail authorities.

Doubts, however, persist and with good cause according to Spencer Kuvin.

‘[Epstein] was an arrogant man, always thought he was the smartest one in the room,’ he said. ‘He never questioned what he had done, he never felt he had done anything wrong. He had an ego that was enormous.

‘It was never my impression that he was the type of person that felt bad for their actions or felt that they would never make it out of jail because they had done something wrong… He had some of the best lawyers in the country at his beck and call and he throws in the towel? It doesn’t make sense.’
