Fired CNN host Don Lemon has sparked and concern for his wellbeing after posting a TikTok of his bizarre New York City subway behavior.
During a nonsensical stunt, the longtime television journalist knocked on subway windows to get riders’ attention.
After the baffled commuters turned their heads to Lemon, he showed them random blue-tinted photos from his iPhone from outside the cart.
In the video, viewed more than 81,000 times, Lemon gave one woman a glimpse of Donkey from the Shrek movies. The unsuspecting passenger hesitantly smirked as the train left the platform.
Lemon, amused by his own actions, grinned widely and chuckled into the camera.
During his second brief encounter, the 58-year-old showed off a heavily-filtered headshot of himself to a woman who did not even crack a smile.
The controversial reporter – still holding up his phone – started chasing down the subway as it sped away.
Although Lemon was clearly enjoying his time at the Times Square-42nd Street station, online critics were less than thrilled with what they saw in the 15-second clip.

Someone said that Lemon ‘losing that CNN gig has really sent him over,’ referring to his 2023 termination from the major news outlet after working there for 17 years.
Several users accused Lemon of ‘begging for attention’ and having ‘a lot of free time’ since being fired.

Many shared the sentiment that the journalist has ‘lost his mind’ and is acting out of ‘desperation.’
Despite facing backlash on X, Lemon’s fans on TikTok showed their support for him and even encouraged his creative content.
‘CNN truly hate your personality because you are so amazing since you’ve left. I only believe anything you say because the media is ridiculous. Thank you for being true to you,’ one woman said.

The Don Lemon Show host was dismissed from CNN in April 2023 following several months of controversy.
During a segment of CNN This Morning in February 2023, Lemon said women who were older than 40 years old were ‘past their prime,’ causing outrage among staffers and viewers alike.
He made the comments while discussing presidential candidate Nikki Haley’s proposal that politicians ages 75 and up should face mental competency tests
Lemon, who at 56 is five years older than Haley, 51, said the politician should tread lightly on the topic because ‘a woman is in their prime in 20s and 30s and maybe 40s.’
Sources inside CNN told DailyMail.com at the time that women were telling management to pick between them and Lemon, saying ‘if Don doesn’t go, others have threatened to quit.’
‘People are hurt by his actions and are not going to let this go. It is like every woman over 50 in America has taken this as a personal insult. The female staffers at CNN definitely have. He needs to make his vacation a permanent one,’ the source said.
Last year, Lemon was set to have The Don Lemon Show promoted on Elon Musk’s X platform – but those plans were axed just hours after his car-wreck interview with the DOGE leader.
Lemon slammed the decision as an attack on his free speech, which Musk countered by insisting Lemon is still free to share his show on the platform without censorship, but ‘we reserve the right to make decisions about our business partnerships.’

‘We had a good conversation. Clearly he felt differently,’ Lemon said in a scathing statement, in which he said that he had entered an agreement to stream all of his shows on Musk’s platform before the rug was pulled.
‘His commitment to a global town square where all questions can be asked and all ideas can be shared seems not to include questions of him from people like me.’
Lemon declined to say what exactly angered Musk during the March 2024 interview, although journalist Kara Swisher claimed that the billionaire took offense to ‘questions about his ketamine use.’
But a source familiar with the situation told DailyMail.com that Musk believed Lemon was the one who intended on censoring content, adding he had too many absurd demands for the tech mogul.
The source said, ‘If you look through Don’s asks they fluctuate between the luxurious, to the far-out, to censorship.
‘Luxurious is you’re asking for a splashy new car [the Tesla Cybertruck] and you’re asking for a $5million up-front payment.
‘Far-out is one of his demands was to be the first podcast in space.’
