NFL star Rachaad White at center of extortion storm as FBI investigates shocking threats against his family

Bucs running back Rachaad White has been the victim of an extortion attempt, according to a statement from his lawyers, who say the FBI is investigating.

‘The FBI and other appropriate authorities are currently looking into an extortion attempt against Rachaad White,’ a statement given to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said.

‘Illegal and defamatory threats and demands against Rachaad and his family will be met with zero tolerance. We will continue to exercise all legal avenues to protect Rachaad’s rights as a victim of extortion.’ 

Rapoport captioned a graphic of the statement ‘On the situation regarding Rachaad White,’ though the insider’s post seems to be the first time the matter has been mentioned.

White, a third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has spent his entire career with Tampa Bay so far.
