LeBron James and son Bronny hit back after being sued over alleged 2022 car crash

LeBron James and son Bronny have furiously denied ‘each and every allegation’ after being sued over an alleged 2022 car crash, according to reports.

The father-and-son Lakers duo were hit by a lawsuit in October which accused them of slamming their car into another vehicle two years prior in Los Angeles County.

Plaintiffs April Almanza Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillen sued them for unspecified damages after claiming they required medical treatment and that their car had been damaged, causing it to plummet in value.

Yet according to TMZ Sports, LeBron, 40, and Bronny, 20, are adamant they did nothing wrong.

Legal documents reportedly show that the basketball legend and his eldest child ‘deny each and every allegation contained in the complaint’.

Lopez, the owner of the vehicle, was a passenger at the time of the alleged crash, with McGillen believed to be behind the wheel.

The pair filed their lawsuit on the very same day LeBron and Bronny made history as the first ever father-and-son duo to play in the NBA together, when they helped Los Angeles earn a 110-103 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 23.

The suit alleges that they ‘negligently owned, controlled, repaired, entrusted, maintained and operated an automobile as to cause it to, and it did, become involved in an accident or collision,’ according to the Los Angeles Times.

LeBron and Bronny didn’t let the alleged incident distract them on their historic evening, nevertheless.

‘That moment, us being at the scorer’s table together and checking in together, it’s a moment I’m never going to forget,’ LeBron said after playing alongside his son, who racked up three minutes for the Lakers that night.

‘No matter how old I get, no matter how my memory may fade as I get older or whatever, I will never forget that moment.’

After being selected in the second round of last year’s draft, Bronny has regularly been assigned to the Lakers’ South Bay G-League affiliate to ply his trade.

LeBron, meanwhile, is helping the NBA outfit keep pace in the Western Conference title race alongside a new superstar teammate in Luka Doncic.
