The drama between Married At First Sight (MAFS) couple Adrian Araouzou and Awhina Rutene truly kicked off during Monday night’s explosive episode when the couple’s family and friends got involved. Despite filming having wrapped months ago, it seems like the beef between Adrian and Awhina’s sister Cleo is still happening.
Taking to her Instagram Story, Cleo shared a scathing message to her sister’s on-screen partner as she walked through the aisles of the supermarket.
“I hate spreading hate but it has to be done,” Cleo said.
“Adrian, why are you so obsessed with me? Adrian, you are currently making all of these fake accounts which everyone already knows you’re doing, trying to support your own self,” she claimed in her message.
Adrian’s ex Geneva claimed earlier this month that he created his own TikTok fan account, telling Abbie Chatfield that she clocked the account after sending him a TikTok video, and received a notification that @adrianmafsfan had viewed the video.
“It’s a fan page, he’s created for himself,” she told Abbie on the It’s A Lot podcast. However, Cleo claims Adrian’s actually made multiple social accounts and is allegedly using them to spread slanderous statements about her and her sister.
“You’re your own biggest fan, but you’re also slandering my sister with these accounts and now you’re trying to slander me,” she claimed.
“You’re coming out with all these lies and it’s pathetic. So yeah, keep on going, keep on making these fake accounts, get a job, go to work. Okay?”
In case you missed it, family and friends week on MAFS resulted in tense scenes when Awhina tried to talk to Adrian’s twin sisters Elita and Nikola and his friend Jasmin Weston about why she wrote ‘leave’ at the commitment ceremony.
While Awhina attempted to share why she felt undervalued in their relationship, Adrian’s family and friends clapped back in a rather aggressive way, resulting in a standoff between the two families.
Since then, Jasmin has distanced herself from Adrian and apologised for her role in the standoff.
“Over the next couple of nights, you are going to watch me (regretfully) defend Adrian in MAFS,” she wrote on her Instagram Story on Sunday night.
“I take full responsibility for my actions and the things I say during that interaction. It is not at all the best version of myself and I have since reached out to Awhina and Cleo to apologise.”

Meanwhile, Adrian’s brother James has also taken to his Instagram Story sharing some of the hate messages he’s received about his brother.
“I don’t care about these messages. Stop messaging me, save your energy. You heard the girl, you can put a ribbon on a trash can, but it’s still a trash can,” he said, quoting his sister in the episode.
“We don’t care, we do not care.”
