Can true love pass the ultimate temptation test? That’s what will be determined on a new season of “Temptation Island,” set to launch on Netflix on March 12.
The reality series first debuted in 2001 and aired for three seasons on Fox. In 2019, it was revived by USA Network and aired for five more seasons until 2023. This is the first time this format will be streaming.
“Temptation Island” follows four couples all looking to get past something in their relationship and figure out whether they’re ready to truly settle down. They will temporarily and live in separate villas — the men will live with single women and the women will move in with a group of single men.
Each week will feature a bonfire, where each will be shown a snippet of what their significant other has been doing at their villa — out of context, of course.
In the the end, each will determine whether they leave the experiment alone, with their original partner or someone new.
Mark L. Walberg, who has hosted the series from the start, returns.

Alexa and Lino

With this experiment, she hopes to find a bit of independence while he wants to make sure “there’s no other fish in the sea — or, more specifically, on the island — who could capture his heart.” Early on in their relationship, she was “dishonest” about dating others, “leading Lino to feel like he’s a ‘second choice.’” He’s also moved cross-country three times for her job.

Grant and Ashley
Image Credit: TYLER GOLDEN/NETFLIX Both 28, Ashley and Grant have been on and off for a year and a half. He was unfaithful in the beginning, causing her to have trust issues. She’s hoping to “get back in touch with her ‘carefree self’ — with a little help from new friends, and of course, outside suitors.” He’s determined to show that he’s changed.

Shanté and Brion

However, she’s unable to feel confident since he was involved with someone else early on in their relationship. She also struggles to “believe Brion can resist the lure of other women, especially since he has quite a fixation on bringing other people into their bedroom.”

Tayler and Tyler
Image Credit: TYLER GOLDEN/NETFLIX Tyler, 27, began dating Tayler, 30, immediately after ending a six-year marriage, so he’s never lived the single life. Through the show, he hopes to understand what he really wants in a relationship better. Meanwhile, Tayler needs reassurance he’s in this relationship for the right reasons as she’s been financially supporting them since Tyler left his corporate job to become a model.
