Who is Bry Burrows? Meet Jalen Hurts’ private fiancée who celebrated with the Eagles star at Super Bowl 2025

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and fiancée Bry Burrows were an instant trending topic following his team’s incredible Super Bowl win on Sunday night.

The Super Bowl MVP, 26, was quick to get a huge hug and kiss from his gorgeous wife-to-be in the middle of the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

For many, this was the first time they got a look at the signal caller’s notoriously private partner.

Bry – full name Bryonna ‘Bry’ Rivera – might be one of the premier WAGs in the NFL, but unlike most partners of big names in the league, she very much shies away from the limelight.

The couple went ‘public’ with their romance in 2023 but their love story started much earlier.

An Al.com article from 2016 reported that Burrows, 27, hails from Kennesaw, Georgia. 

She studied political science and Spanish at the University of Alabama, which is where she is believed to have met Hurts.

The duo were members of different Divine Nine organizations, a group of recognized Black Greek letter fraternities and sororities at Alabama. 

She was a member of the Theta Sigma chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha while Hurts was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Hurts played for Alabama’s football team from 2016 to 2018 before he transferred to Oklahoma for his final college season, meaning their relationship could date back to that time.

The couple were on and off in the years that followed, in which time Burrows pursued an MBA at Alabama’s Manderson School of Business where she was captain of the MBA Case Team and vice-president of the Masters Business Administration.

She began her career at IBM with a role as a senior client experience consultant in Dallas.

Burrows then moved on to works as a sales executive and software financing leader.

Her most current position sees her working as an artificial intelligence partner for the company. 

She has played a key part in the tech company’s educational and professional programs, according to People.

Burrows is said to have been a coach for an eight-week Accelerate program to help prepare minority undergraduate students for business.

In a post afterwards, she wrote: ‘It was the best time speaking and coaching breakout sessions for a few weeks. I can assure you with these students, the future is in good hands! #BigBlue.’

Meanwhile, she participated in a Manderson Women in Business talk and a Diversity & Inclusion panel in 2021. 

‘I’m fortunate my company allows us the space to converse, listen, and learn from one another,’ she wrote at the time. ‘Diversity & Inclusion is deeper than gender, skin color, or nationality. It’s about lived experiences that define who we are and better our community and workplace.’

On her since deleted LinkedIn account, she described herself as ‘extraverted’ and claimed that ‘being outside recharges me every time!’

Her Instagram account remains private and her short biography reveals she is a big fan of wine which she calls her ‘love language.’

Hurts and Burrows did not make many public appearances together until 2023, when their love was already clear as they held hands on the field while celebrating the Eagles’ NFC Championship win against the San Francisco 49ers.  

Hurts confirmed the relationship by telling Essence magazine: ‘I’m not married or anything like that. But I am spoken for.’

Opening up about his commitment to Burrows, he told the publication: ‘I knew a long time ago… I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.’

The pair made their red carpet debut at the Time100 Next event in New York City, before she supported him at the Eagles’ 2024 opening game against the Green Bay Packers in Brazil. 

Later that month, they posed together on the red carpet for the New York premiere of The Evolution of the Black Quarterback.

They officially got engaged in September 2024 and confirmed the happy news by sharing photos of the oceanside proposal with Essence magazine.

In a later ESPN press conference, Hurts expressed his love again as he said: ‘To Bry, the Mrs., thank you for the support, thank you for the love. And thank you for being the rock that I can lean on.’

Burrows being by Hurts’ side since Alabama means she has seen the ups and downs of his career up close.  

Hurts was benched at halftime of the 2017 national championship game at Alabama in favor of Tua Tagovailoa. The Crimson Tide went on to win that game and Hurts was the backup for his final year in Tuscaloosa. 

After his stint with the Sooners, Hurts was a second-round pick of the Eagles and has been doubted by many in his professional career. 

Now Hurts is a Super Bowl MVP and his moment in New Orleans with Burrows is flourishing more than ever.
