NFL fans claim to know Super Bowl LX participants based on the newly released logo for the 2026 game

The confetti is still being cleaned up in New Orleans, but Super Bowl LX organizers have already revealed their logo for next season’s NFL Championship.

And because the game is being hosted by the San Francisco 49ers, the Super Bowl LX logo features images of the city’s skyline, Golden Gate Bridge, and some of the California redwoods that cover the northern and central regions of the state.

Of course, any fans attending Super Bowl LX should not expect to see the Golden Gate Bridge or San Francisco’s famed Transamerica Pyramid because the game will actually be played at the 49ers’ home stadium in Santa Clara, which is about 45 miles away.

As revealed by NBC, which will air Super Bowl LX, the design includes shades of blue, yellow, pink and green, all of which were used by conspiracy-minded NFL fans to predict next year’s participants. League critics have long accused the NFL of being scripted and some say this predetermination is somehow evident in the color schemes of Super Bowl logos.

This season, for instance, the Kansas City Chiefs’ red and the Philadelphia Eagles’ green were both included in the New Orleans-themed design, which was created long before either team qualified for the game. The designer, artist Tahj ‘Queen Tahj’ Williams, created the logo as a tribute to black masking culture rooted in Louisiana since the 1800s.

Fans noticed a similar dynamic when the two teams played at Super Bowl LVII two years earlier. Even the Cincinnati Bengals’ orange and Los Angeles Rams’ yellow appeared in Super Blow LVI’s logo, which incorporated a sunset theme into its design.

This thinking is, of course, flawed. Many Super Bowl participants didn’t have their color scheme infused into the game’s logo design, and fans haven’t been able to use this conspiracy theory to reliably predict the respective AFC and NFC champions.

Regardless, fans viewing Super Bowl LX’s new logo took a crack at predicting next year’s teams.

‘I see blue!!’ one Detroit fan wrote on X. ‘Lions next year!!!’

‘Lions Ravens confirmed,’ one added.

‘Packers winning it,’ another guessed.

But one fan waved the white flag: ‘Mad colors to debunk the logo theory.’

‘They caught onto the color theory, it could be any team,’ another added.

Sports books obviously have their own theories on who will be playing in Super Bowl LX.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Chiefs and the Eagles are both the current betting favorites to win next year’s Super Bowl at odds of +650.

This is in spite of the complete demolition that the Eagles just put on the Chiefs – and the fact that Kansas City could lose multiple free agents in the offseason, including wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, safety Justin Reid, defensive end Charles Omenihu, linebacker Joshua Uche, and inside linebacker Nick Bolton among other key players.
